There are many classified websites which are growing popular among people as it gives a person feasibility to promote his or her service or gives an exposure for there goods to be sold to a second hand all just freely. People can buy second hand goods or get to know about the services offered at their near by locality just by sitting at the comfort of their home. Online classified portals are proving more worthy as there ad will be shown for longer time and for longer audience so the rate of getting exposure to their advertisement increases. Below is a list of few famous classified websites in India which are loved and used by many people. I just ranked them based on Alexa ranking and not considered any other criteria.

Quikr : Formerly called Kijiji has soon taken its new form as Quikr which is having a strong backup from Matrix Partners India , Omidyar Network , Norwest Venture Partners , Nokia Growth Partners , Warburg Pincus and invested in by eBay Inc. Quikr was launched on 12 July 2008 and is currently present across 83 India cities. This website allows users to post a free classified ad on their products or services offered and at the same time respond to the classified ads posted by others. 2. Olx : Olx is a new York based company which runs its website in India too with a dot in suffix. This company was founded in March 2006 and is privately held. This company not only proved a good competitor for Craigslist but also won the best place in classified websites mostly used by Indian people. This site also works similar to any other classified websites like allowing users to post a free classified ad for their product or service and also allowing users to choose the required product or service. This site also had some publicity campaign running through television ads which is also a reason for its success.

3. Click India :  List of top classified websites of India would remain incomplete if this site isn't included. This had a very poor design in the beginning a  start up by IIM Indore pass out student. Pankaj Aagarwal is the founder who acts as the CEO and Sushan Rungta who also heads the team. This site had a nick name as the Craiglist of India and also one among the top 30 Indian websites but as the era of eCommerce had began this site slow started to loose its position but nevertheless still in the list op Top classified websites of India.
4. Sulekha : Sulekha actually is a yellow pages business directory but has its own classified section too and its design is really eye catching. You can post your classified ad for free and also have a high exposure to your classified ad.
5. Click.in : Click.in is an sister venture of Greynium Information Technologies Pvt. Ltd. owned by Rajesh Jain formerly by B.G Mahesh. One of the popular portal website run by them is oneindia. This website also offers an translation tool where you can change the entire site to your local language. Presently it supports only south Indian languages like Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil along with our national Language Hindi.
6. LocantoThe Locanto Classifieds sites are operated by the German startup company Yalwa located in Wiesbaden, Germany.
