So talking about his start up, he was basically from an agricultural background family and for him Fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector seemed to be a correct way to choose his future career. He had researched for some small business plans which needed low investment and a huge return, he studied various business models for nearly 10 months. He used to visit a local library in Vijayawada and at last he concluded his research that mobile and web are the future of present generation where we can successfully place a landmark. So by convincing his friends and parents he was able to gather 5 lakh rupees to start off with Way2online Interactive. Way2sms came into existence by December 2004 as a part of his company.

During that time only few companies were playing around like that of way2online interactive. Way2SMS future plans are to replicate its business model in some countries like UAE, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and. Singapore. If we talk about the turnover the company makes, Raju in one of his interviews mentioned that their company has a turn over of 5 Crores.

Raju’s business model is also very close to various telecom operators and also has some tie ups with Airtel and Tata Indicom. Citi Bank, ICICI Bank, Tata AIG, Lenovo etc. are some of his corporate clients. Many websites came into existence after the launch of way2sms but this website could sustain the competition as it is always ahead with upgrading to latest technology. They have many servers which manage the huge traffic and they also have the technology to send 1,000 messages per second.
