Cell Phones: Rise of mobile phones has drastically changed the Indian environment. Even rules like switch off your mobile phones near petrol bunks, hospitals, colleges shows us in what way this has raised. Many road accidents were also a part of this change. The improvisation of communication has also made people to become even more corrupt like they never told as many lies as they have told after they bought a new cell phone.Slowly the generation of telephones have subsided and a new era of cell phones has emerged.
ATM Centers: In 1990 to withdraw money from ones saving account had a laborious process of filling up a form and standing in the crowd. This has almost reduced now because of the rise of ATM centers. Almost all the banks have this facility and even came under one accord that you can withdraw your money from any ATM center. Though still few uneducated people use the traditional method. So this ATM card which also supplies you the need of a debit card is a handy thing when you even go to shopping. Do your shopping and then swipe.
Shopping Complexes: Way back when I was a small kid bringing vegetables was a time taking task. We need to go to market and pick the best ones from a large heap but now shopping complexes and malls serve you this need all the good looking vegetables are already separated and kept. Though there are some disadvantages of buying vegetables from them as they sprinkle chemicals in order to make them appear fresh to the people but who cares, time is running out so just go pick few vegetables pay bill and here we go 1 to 2 hours of market is now done within 15 min. Latest trend of shopping complexes are multiplexes where all things are available from food, electronics to wide range of clothing etc.
MNC’s: Companies who need cheap labor has got a good opportunity of launching their company in poor counties where they make people work for less money. Globalization has caused such a rapid change in our country that gradually there was a increase in MNC’s. Our people look for employment opportunities where they are made to do laborious work for which they are paid more but compared to money which they pay in their country it is very very less. Many MNC's have made a successful entry into Indian market.
Food Courts: As the literacy rate is increasing so the demand for a job also does. Many Multi national companies, private companies, call centers, BPO’s etc have changed the entire thing out. A person hardly finds time to cook his food. In cities almost both husband and wife go to jobs making their lives comfortable by earning some money. So no one is interested to cook so just they bring parcel from outside and eat. Though this is unhealthy they say we need to live so we eat. So rise of many food courts is apparently visible in our neighborhood.
Broadband: Rise of internet in the past decade has almost made a great influence in the fields of online education, online shopping etc. Almost all jobs in our country are made through online leaving behind the legacy of applying for it in the form of a written application. As soon a student enters into a professional degree he buys a system and broadband is a must. In the starting days 256Mbps was high but now more than 8Mbps is possible by paying little bit higher. The rise of broadband can also be marked under one of the significant change that took place in the past decade.
Electronics: Cell Phones, iphones, ipads, laptops, desktops, palmtops, various forms of gadgets, appliances for home needs like televisions, refrigerators, washing machines etc as well as latest machines in various fields like flex printing, hospitals have grown so vast that a patient can check his sugar levels sitting in his home with an electronic device. Electronics has brought a rapid change in various fields.
Education: Long back no one knew what was a techno school no one knew what was a concept school. Now a days from KG to PG we find lot of advancements. Class rooms are embedded with over head projectors and some schools also have the feature of teaching students with videos. Forgetting not about the colleges which have grown so many in number that almost every region in India has got some. Professional courses have increased in due time Biotechnology, Bio informatics, B pharmacy, Genetics, Forensic sciences, etc have been in a swing this decade. Though opportunities in our country is less but these courses gave a scope for students to go abroad.
Technology: Are you throwing a part and need some decoration I think you don’t need to go fetch a designer but a flex banner with a nice back ground serves your purpose. Do you want to know what is happening around the world its simple switch on your TV. You are not far from media channels which have rose to such a great number that they compete with each other in giving the information fast. Technology has rose to a great level where most of our needs are done through it. An laser eye surgery is done within 20 min this is all because of technology. Man is trying to make his life as easy as possible where the advancement of technology has done most of its part in the last decade.
These were some of the changes which are apparently seen. I think this decade is going to see technology at its fullest. Good to hear about literacy rate but as the population is increasing resources are decreasing if we have an eye on population control may be we can see a bright India. Jai Hind.
