Amazon has launched its appstore containing various apps for Google Android operating system on March 22nd 2011. It has launched with 3800 apps both free and paid versions in countries like US, UK, Spain, Germany, France and Italy. Now Amazon is planning to expand its store for 200 more countries including India, Australia, Brazil Canada etc.
Amazon apps web store is famous for its free app a day feature where it gives off its users a free app each day. Most of the free apps include mostly games and it also gave Ad free version of Angry birds on its launch. App developers can submit their apps after the launch in all these countries. For developers who want to monetize their apps means earn money from their apps have to go through a lengthy process submitting Tax identification number etc to get approved. Only available options to price your apps is in Canadian dollars or Brazil Reels.
Amazon is also ready with its virtual currency called Amazon coins which will be used to buy apps. Should wait and see how this app store expansion going to hit the market.
