The 15th-seeded France, Marion Bartoli becomes the new women's Wimbledon champion on Saturday by defeating 23rd seeded Sabine Lisicki of  in the final. Lisicki was in the news from the time she sent five-time champion Serina Williams out of this tournament in the fourth round. Lisicki is the first German to reach the final since seven-time champion Steffi Graf in 1999. Lisicki said she was inspired by Steffi Graf and also named a few others who have helped inspire her to come back from a serious left ankle injury in 2010.

Sabine Lisicki lost to Marion Bartoli 6-1, 6-4. at All England Club, London  which was packed with audience to witness this live event and many too had the chance to view this match over television on BBC One, 3D, BBC Two, BBC HD Channel, Star Sports etc.

Match began with Bartoli's service and she was off with a point but Lisicki came to 40 points while Bartoli was at 15 later Bartoli too came up to 40 but due to poor service she looses her first match to Lisicki. Second match in the first set was dominated by Bartoli with a point. So this equals 1-1 in the first set, and the third match was again won by Bartoli with a lead 2-1. Bartoli pressurizes Lisicki by wining her fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh match too by a lead of 6-1and winning the first set. Lisciki Body language changes a bit and her facial expressions too looked bit tensed.
